Dear partners of Pui Tak Christian School, 

 

Your time is so valuable to children we serve here at Pui Tak Christian school and we are so honored you chose to invest your time into our ministry. Throughout our 64 years of history, many in our community have committed their energy and time to help sustain our ministry and see it thrive. Today, the story is the same, but we have had the opportunity to expand our partners beyond Chinatown and welcome tutors from nearby colleges, families, retired folks with great skills, groups from various religious institutions and community social service centers. No matter who you are or where you are coming from, we welcome and love your desire to spend time with our children. Here are a few areas and time frames where our need is particularly great: 

 

 

1. During our school days (September to June)

   1. Classroom Assistant - 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM

   2. Afterschool care: tutoring, life coaching, general assistance and play with kids! - 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM

   3. Administrative needs: paperwork, filing, organization, etc. - 9:00 AM -to 5:00 PM
       

2. Holiday seasons (December, January, March) - 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM

   1. Because our regular college volunteers are gone during these months, we need people who are able to come in during these specific months for afterschool care (responsibilities same as abo).  You could be a service learning team, a family looking to volunteer, or just an individual with time to spare! Consider giving your holiday season a different meaning!
       

3. Summer (June-August)

   1. JSP Jumpstart Program: our summer program runs for 7 weeks in July and August so we are always looking for teachers who would like to spend their summer vacation teaching, teaching assistants, youth, or service groups to help out!

   2. Administrative needs: In order to prepare well for the next school year, the summer is a time for our admin team to make lots of improvements, so we will need your help making new things happen!
